Products & Services
TAROL Class K - 6½ x 9
TAROL axlebox bearings from Schaeffler represent maximum energy efficiency and exceptional longevity, making them ideal for the diverse demands of rail transport. In heavy freight transport, the High Capacity variant TAROL Class K delivers reliable performance. Designed and tested according to the stringent AAR M-934 and M-959 standards, these bearings have received preliminary approval from the WABL committee (Cert. No. AAR-35) for use with Mobilith SHC 100 grease, promising extended maintenance intervals for efficient operation.
Current Insultating Bearings
Current-insulating bearings are almost always used in modern traction motors to prevent bearing damage caused by the passage of current. In specific applications, insulation of the gearbox or axlebox bearings is also required.
The Schaeffler Axlebox Generator
Schaeffler’s wear-free axlebox generator provides cost-effective power for railway monitoring, lighting, braking assistants and automation systems. It is suitable for use in the freight sector and can be installed in both existing and new freight wagons.
Remanufacturing of Railway Bearings
In rail transport, the circular economy is a key driver for sustainable and cost-efficient operations.
Schaeffler’s manufacturer-independent remanufacturing service for rail bearings can deliver resource savings of up to 95%, depending on the level of reconditioning, while also creating clear cost advantages. In the rail industry, remanufacturing has long established itself as a proven standard.
